Born and raised in the Midwest. I always thought I would move to New York City and live the life I saw on Sex and the City or the Devil Wears Prada. With an undergrad in Broadcast Journalism from a Big10 school, my dreams of becoming the next Erin Andrews faded away quickly when reality set in after graduation.
Fast forward a little bit and I reconnected with my elementary school sweetheart (feel free to roll your eyes). But yes, a heart was drawn around his picture in my grade school yearbook, clearly that must have sealed the fate all those years ago. In true Midwest fashion we reconnected at a local bar that serves alcohol in fishbowls (total gut rot). But when you are in your early twenties it is a great affordable drink. I will spare you the sappy stuff, but spoiler alert I married my elementary school sweetheart.
Today, I am a Midwest mama of three kids all 7 and younger (yes we have lost our minds), two boys and a girl, and three dogs. I work full-time, and often like to turn my passions and hobbies into side jobs which includes event coordinating, organizing, etc. My husband thinks I am NUTS, which to be honest, I probably am. I have a bad habit of saying “yes” when someone asks for my help. Yet, I have no problem saying “no” at home.
“Dear Pregnant Husband” became an idea I had when I was pregnant with my first kiddo, Read the backstory here. When I first launched this blog it was to share stories about life, fitness and recipes. All of my favorite things. You will not find advice on here, because frankly I am always looking for it. But maybe you will find a story or two you can relate to. Or maybe a post that makes you laugh and be glad that was not you, your kid(s) or your husband/spouse/partner.
